What we collect
- Account details: your username, email, pirate name, flag design and email preferences.
- Your password: only as a salted scrypt hash. We can't read it.
- Sign-in records: for each signed-in device, its IP address, a browser description and when it was last used, plus a log of recent sign-ins and account changes. You can see all of it in Captain's Quarters.
- Game server: while you're connected to a crew server, your pirate's name and position are shared with other players, and the server keeps ordinary logs.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers and no selling or renting of your data.
- The site sets one cookie: your sign-in session. No analytics cookies.
Third parties
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when it serves them. Email is delivered through our mail provider.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you close your account. Sessions expire after 30 days unused. The activity log keeps your 100 most recent entries. Closing your account deletes your profile, sessions and log.
Your choices
- Download your data from Captain's Quarters → Ship's log.
- Change your details, or close your account, any time.
- Turn dispatch emails off in Captain's Quarters. Security emails (password resets, email changes) are always sent.
